Contact by Phone

Volunteers for Wildlife has a 24-hour Wildlife Advisory Telephone line that you can call to get information on how to deal with injured or displaced wildlife. The number is (631) 423-0982. Please let us know if you have left us both phone and email messages.

We do not accept drop-offs. Animals are admitted by appointment only and must go through the wildlife hotline or email account.

Too far away for us to help?

Locate a wildlife rehabilitator (US and international).
Veterinarians that treat exotic animals are sometimes willing to treat wild animals as well. However, we strongly recommend you call in advance, as many hospitals will refuse to accept wildlife.
