Volunteers for Wildlife, Inc. is a tax exempt 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization. Copies of our annual audited financial statements as well as annual IRS 990 and NY State CHAR500 reports can be accessed on the NYS Attorney General's Charity website

Our work isn't possible without your support. Without any state or federal funding, we rely exclusively on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and grant-making foundations in the community.

Your gift today helps to provide care and treatment for injured and orphaned wildlife in our medical clinic, as well as for our resident animal ambassadors. Your gift also helps us inspire the next generation of wildlife protectors through our outreach and education programs for the public.

Sponsor an Ambassador

You, your organization, class, or family can help us feed and care for our animal ambassadors! Choose a resident animal that you want to sponsor and your donation will go directly toward food and supplies for them. This is a great way to get a class or scout group involved in helping Long Island’s native wildlife and habitats. Wildlife sponsorships can also be given as gifts. Recipients will receive a letter notifying them of your gift, as well as any of the bonus gifts outlined for the different levels of sponsorship. All wildlife "adopters" receive an official "adoption" certificate and a picture of the animal they are sponsoring. To learn more, visit our Sponsorship page!
