"Hoo put this thing here?"

This adult female Great Horned Owl was admitted Tuesday morning after being caught in a soccer net in Upper Brookville. Her right wing is injured but we are hopeful she will soon return home.

You can help keep wildlife in your backyard safe by making sure nets are put away when not in use!

Did You Know?: When clenched, a Great Horned Owl’s strong talons require a force of 28 pounds to open!

UPDATE: This Great Horned Owl is all healed up and was released on November 5th!
